As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Operator in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will use X-ray screening equipment and computer systems to help identify prohibited items, support loss prevention efforts, and maintain a professional presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and assist with security-related procedures. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification, reviewing access credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor screening equipment and access points, report prohibited items, unauthorized access attempts, and/or irregular activity to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
