About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a residential location in Cardington, Ohio, you will help safeguard residents and property. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control, provide customer service to residents and visitors, communicate professionally, and use technology to document observations. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and pays $14.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A background investigation and drug screen are conditions of employment, subject to applicable laws. Licensing may be required by state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, property concerns, and access issues.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious circumstances.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications.
Work collaboratively with property management and emergency responders as needed.
