About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer Patrol Response to support a government location in Lewes, Delaware. The officer will patrol assigned facilities and grounds, monitor access and visitor activity, provide customer service, respond to incidents, alarms, and routine needs, and document security-related activity. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and pays $17.34 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify unusual activity and report observations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, direct individuals to appropriate locations, and maintain required logs.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities.
Prepare clear, accurate reports about patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations in accordance with site requirements.
