About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Response in South Portland, Maine, for a retail distribution location. The officer will safeguard clients and support site operations by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling assigned areas, supporting access control, and providing customer service and communication. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exteriors, perimeters, parking areas, loading docks, and trailer yards to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, observe incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian activity, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate security-related observations to site leadership, and support a professional environment for employees and visitors.
