Security Officer Mall Center Patrol Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a mall center patrol driver position in Irvine, California. The officer will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. The role supports a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity. This is a day-shift driving position. The scheduled hours are 6:30 AM–3:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Pay is $22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- A Guard Card or license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, conducting emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards to help deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
- Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
