About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to support an educational environment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests. The role follows site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities and involves collaboration with campus personnel and first responders as appropriate. The stated schedule is Monday through Thursday, 2:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-adjacent areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations; help deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in accordance with established protocols.
Monitor access points and campus activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns; document incidents accurately.
Collaborate with campus personnel and first responders as appropriate while maintaining a professional presence in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
