About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for badge issuance in Detroit, Michigan. The officer will support a secure and welcoming environment at a food service location by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. The role combines customer service with clear communication and attention to detail in support of daily operations. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Pay is $13.73 per hour. The position may offer opportunities to claim additional shifts through the company’s platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen, as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel entering the location.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow site-specific procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
