About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced focused on biometric authentication at an assigned retail distribution location in Plant City, Florida. The position pays $17.59 per hour and has a designated weekly anchor shift of Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fixed-shift assignment requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The role involves customer service, access control, maintaining access records, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, delivery drivers, and team members while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location and verify authorized access for personnel, vendors, and deliveries.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records, including issuing and collecting credentials, keys, and access devices as assigned.
• Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
