About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve as a Screening Attendant at a logistics and distribution location in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The role helps maintain a secure and welcoming environment by screening individuals and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. A visible presence, strong communication, and customer service support the site’s daily operations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers entering the facility, including verifying identification, credentials, and authorized access according to site policies.
Monitor entry and exit points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; document required information and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to observe for unauthorized access, hazards, and irregular conditions.
