Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and/or emergency response actions when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and residential amenities to help to identify unauthorized persons, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require follow-up from property management or emergency services.
• Communicate with residents, visitors, property staff, and/or local responders regarding security-related concerns, service requests, and incident details while supporting a professional residential environment.
