About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to provide security services at an assigned retail and industrial site in Waco, Texas. The position has a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The scheduled shift is Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.19 per hour.

The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Duties include regular and random unarmed patrols, monitoring access and site activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and reporting security concerns.

Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening. State or local licensing may be required. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, stockrooms, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter access points at the retail and industrial location.
• Monitor access to the location and observe deliveries, vendor activity, and employee or visitor movement according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and actions taken.
• Deter unauthorized activity, property loss, and policy violations through a visible presence, routine patrols, and timely reporting of security concerns.
