Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access, perform screening activities, and support daily operations with professionalism and care. This role combines customer service, communication, and attention to detail to help address security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
  • Possess customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or employees by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen people, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location, document required information, and report unusual activity, discrepancies, and/or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, dock spaces, entry points, and the exterior perimeter, with duties based on site conditions and operational needs.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or prohibited items by maintaining awareness at screening posts, communicating clearly, and following established post orders.
