As a Security Officer Full Time Driving Role Patrol Readiness in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with hospital personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in patient-care environments.
