As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver outstanding service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report suspicious activity or access-control issues according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and public agencies when needed.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift records while maintaining awareness of assigned areas and following applicable post orders and Allied Universal policies.
