About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across industries including healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role offers hands-on experience at a variety of sites and opportunities for career growth. The Security Officer Flex Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver works in Huntsville, Alabama, performing security duties across changing locations and assignments.

The position offers 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week through manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed using the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The listed pay rate is $16.04 per hour.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
