About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. The Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol Driver role is based in Concord, California, and involves assignments at a variety of sites. The position offers 30–40 hours per week, with schedules varying week to week through manager-assigned shifts and a self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to meet client needs. Pay is $23.19 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
