About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across industries including healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role provides hands-on security experience in varied work environments and the opportunity to develop skills and pursue advancement within Allied Universal.

The position involves 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and include manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly. Officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to meet client needs. The role is based in Flowood, Mississippi, and includes unarmed mobile patrol duties.

Pay is $15.87 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may need to be met before employment. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Ability to travel required distances.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
