About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking experienced Armed Security Professionals for a position in a downtown tourist area. The role serves and safeguards clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. Officers provide customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. The position involves regular foot and/or vehicle patrols, monitoring property activity, responding to incidents and alarms, deterring security breaches, and documenting patrols and incidents. Must have open availability.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Have a clean driver's license with no flags or suspensions; a valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
• Demonstrate effective communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Be able to remain calm under pressure and in emergency situations.
• Have the physical fitness needed to perform foot and vehicle patrols.
• Pass a background investigation and drug screening, as applicable under law.
• Participate in industry-specific security and safety training programs.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Former military or law enforcement experience receives first consideration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols in a large, tourist-centric area.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and activity on the property to help ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security breaches.
• Assist in enforcing company policies and local laws as needed.
• Report suspicious activity and safety concerns to management and local law enforcement when required.
• Accurately document patrol routes and incidents.
• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
