About The Position

As a Custom Protection Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. You will conduct patrols, monitor for security concerns and safety hazards, respond to incidents, and provide client-facing support while following site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Meet at least one of the following qualifications: military service in a law-enforcement- or security-related occupational specialty or a support role in a combat zone; graduation from a certified public safety academy or verified work experience in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting; a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice-related studies; at least eight years of service in any military branch; or an associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service.
• Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
