About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Lockport, Illinois, you will help safeguard the site through visible patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. The role is scheduled for daytime shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, and pays $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State and/or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building exteriors, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report irregularities or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events, follow established protocols, and contact emergency services when required.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
