About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Concierge in Lexington, Kentucky. The position provides a reliable assigned site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and potentially work up to 40 hours per week.

The role provides customer service at a university front desk while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. The scheduled shift is Wednesday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a university front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors; provide directions, general information, and access-related assistance professionally.
• Monitor entry activity, verify identification or authorization as required, and maintain visitor logs and other front-desk records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
