About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Operations in Gulfport, Florida. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated weekly shifts are Friday and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and the assigned-site schedule requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may offer opportunities to work more hours, up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a guard card or license.
• Possession of a state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific access control procedures and security policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vendor records, and direct guests according to community procedures.
• Respond professionally and calmly to access concerns, resident requests, incidents, and critical situations.
• Communicate relevant observations and incidents to site leadership, residents, or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
