Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken according to site policy.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership while maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports.
