You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and deliver outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
