Security Officer - Casino Security
About The Position
A security officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises and preventing unauthorized access or incidents. They patrol designated areas, observe surveillance systems, and respond to alarms or suspicious activities. The role includes enforcing safety regulations, policies, and procedures to protect people and property. Security officers also handle incidents, complete detailed reports, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. Additionally, they provide assistance to employees and visitors while ensuring a visible security presence.
Requirements
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security preferred
- Working knowledge of computer application packages
- A current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, Provincial, and Gaming Commission.
- Must be Nineteen (19) years of age.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more.
- Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO)
- Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the
- Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including providing information about the property and events, giving directions and possibly escorting them if
- Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise
- Patrol the casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious
- Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency
- Assist in maintaining proper key
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.

- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest
