About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Control in Dorchester, Massachusetts, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as utilities. In this access-control role, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor security-related activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency-response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations calmly, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, visitor activity, access exceptions, and other security-related observations.
