About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Walton, Kentucky, serving a logistics and distribution location. The officer helps maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and supporting security-related screening procedures. The role also provides customer service and clear communication while helping deter incidents. Pay is $15.95 per hour, with a schedule of Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
X-ray screening experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control facility access by verifying identification and authorization for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors according to site procedures.
Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle gates, and access control systems, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity as required.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site-specific protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
