About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to patrol a healthcare location in Ipswich, Massachusetts. The unarmed patrol officer monitors assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and patients. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork. The position pays $21.85 per hour. The posted schedule is Thursday and Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Officers may use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Document patrol findings, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly according to company and site reporting procedures.
