About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Security Officer to join their Protective Services Department at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. This is a full-time, day opportunity with hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, requiring rotating weekdays and weekends. The primary function of the Security Officer is to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. The team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors to enhance patient safety and experience.

Requirements

• 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience
• 1-2 years Security Officer Experience
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Driver's License Required
• Level II Background screening required as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Reporting any unusual circumstances, and take appropriate corrective actions
• Insuring the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards
• Providing escort services
• Respond to unsafe situations
• Enforce hospital parking regulations
• Assist individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems
