About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol officer for a healthcare facility in The Dalles, Oregon. The role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.98 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security experience.
A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment, as permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Pepper spray certification.
Handcuffing certification.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, and directing patients and visitors.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed actions in clear and accurate reports.
