About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a commercial real estate location in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard the property, deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff. The role includes customer service, routine patrols, access-point monitoring, emergency response, and accurate reporting. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Pay is $19.06 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff by following site-specific security procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and exterior grounds, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site policies.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership.
