About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a front desk in El Paso, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns. The role calls for outstanding customer service and clear communication to help maintain an orderly environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a professional first point of contact for visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Verify visitor credentials, follow site-specific access-control procedures, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor the front desk area, incoming communications, and assigned access points; report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Answer questions, direct guests, and communicate site policies courteously and professionally.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow site-specific procedures, and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
