About The Position

The Security Officer Front Desk serves and safeguards clients at a government public health facility in Chamblee, Georgia. The role welcomes visitors, manages access, monitors entry activity, and provides customer service while helping maintain a professional and secure environment. Officers use computer or tablet tools and communicate with staff and guests. This is a part-time position scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Wednesday from 6:30 AM to 5:45 PM. The pay rate is $16.90 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct people to appropriate offices or service areas.
Monitor entry activity, access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment, and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while supporting a professional and welcoming front-desk environment.
