About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a driving post. The officer will safeguard clients and provide customer service while following safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols. Duties include responding calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. The work environment and conditions may vary by client site.

The position requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and an active Maryland unarmed guard card. Full-time and part-time flexible positions are available. Days vary, and officers must be able to work both weekdays and weekends. Available shifts are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and/or 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Starting pay is $21.25 per hour, plus health and welfare benefits of $4.57. Free training programs are available.

Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply before employment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Must be able to work both weekdays and weekends.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of security experience.
• Valid CPR certification.

• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
