About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Champaign, Illinois. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The fixed weekly shifts are Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and the assigned shift requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be available across multiple sites, allowing hours to vary up to 40 per week.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facility buildings, loading areas, parking areas, trailers, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site policies.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Support orderly movement of personnel and commercial traffic during package handling and distribution operations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
