Security Officer Housing Intake Center
About The Position
As a full-time, New York State licensed unarmed patrol Security Officer at an Allied Universal government services location in New York, NY, you will help safeguard residents, visitors, staff, and the facility. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, support a welcoming environment, respond professionally to concerns, and provide customer service while following site procedures. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.87 per hour. Applicants must have a valid New York State Security Guard License, at least one year of security-related experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations calmly and respectfully, following established protocols.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns.
- Document incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related activities in clear, timely reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
