About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Governance in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may build their schedule up to 40 hours per week and may scale back when needed. The stated pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

The weekly schedule is Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Saturday from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The Security Officer provides customer service, manages site access, responds to incidents, conducts patrols, and maintains records in accordance with site procedures and policies.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the retail location by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and documenting access-related activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, exits, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while providing professional support to store personnel and visitors.
