Security Officer Full Time Patrol Response
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer in Cape Canaveral, Florida, at an aerospace and defense location. The officer will safeguard the site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting site security procedures, and providing customer service and communication to employees, visitors, contractors, and site personnel. The position pays $21.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screen, subject to applicable laws.
Requirements

- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and report concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
- Accurately document observations, patrol activities, and incidents, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
