About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Columbus, Indiana, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves customer service, clear communication, and responding professionally to site needs. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The pay rate is $15.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor or contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow emergency response procedures, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
Document daily activities, patrol findings, and incidents clearly and promptly, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
