As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support badge activities, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, and document access activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns.
  • Support vehicle and material screening processes, maintain required logs and reports, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
