About The Position

As a Security Officer Licensed Patrol in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Be 21 years of age or older.
Possess a Virginia DCJS license, where required for jobs in Virginia.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and restricted areas while following post orders and communicating with supervisors, staff, and/or public contacts as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate documentation of incidents, patrol activity, and/or daily operations to support site awareness and follow-up.
