About The Position

John Knox Village is seeking a caring, attentive, and friendly Security Officer for its Life Plan Community in Pompano Beach, Florida. The role serves as the first point of contact for people entering the community, greeting residents, employees, and visitors with warmth and professionalism while helping maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across the 70-acre campus.

The Security Officer monitors and guards entrance gates, opens gates for authorized individuals, verifies credentials, and ensures entries align with approved rosters. Additional duties and expectations will be reviewed during the hiring process.

This position is subject to Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law. John Knox Village is a drug-free and tobacco-free workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in security and/or hospitality.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate note-taking skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Completion of Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law.
