About The Position

John Knox Village is seeking a caring, attentive, and friendly Security Officer for its Life Plan Community in Pompano Beach, Florida. The role is the first point of contact for people entering the community and involves greeting residents, employees, and visitors warmly and professionally while monitoring and guarding entrance gates. The officer opens gates for authorized individuals, verifies credentials, and ensures entries align with approved rosters. Additional duties will be reviewed during the hiring process and focus on maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across the 70-acre campus.

The position is subject to Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law. John Knox Village is a drug-free and tobacco-free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in security and/or hospitality.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate note-taking skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Pass Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law.
