Security Officer Overnight Armed Gate Response
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for overnight gate response at a premier residential community in Boca Raton, Florida. The officer will safeguard residents, guests, visitors, and the property by maintaining a visible security presence, conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, and responding to security concerns. The role emphasizes professional customer service, teamwork, integrity, and a welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law, and must participate in industry-specific security training.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, or military experience, or a degree in criminal justice.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, members, guests, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential neighborhoods, common areas, club facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points and vehicle and pedestrian activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and timely reports of incidents, patrol activities, and observed conditions in accordance with company and site requirements.
