About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer at an HOA gated community in Newport Beach, California. The role provides fixed, reliable weekly shifts at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and potentially work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $21.60 per hour. The scheduled anchor shifts are Thursday and Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Site facilities are limited and include portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles, or 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
