About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a healthcare facility in Denver, Colorado. The role has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The listed shift is Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related procedures and site-specific duties, including front desk coverage, visitor access checks, monitoring activity, maintaining logs, and responding to incidents. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet visitors, verify access authorization, and direct guests according to site procedures.
• Monitor visitor activity, maintain required logs and records, and communicate relevant information to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Observe entry points and report unusual activity according to site procedures to help deter unauthorized access.
