About The Position

River Landing at Sandy Ridge, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of its premises, assets, staff, and visitors. The role involves monitoring and protecting the premises, with a focus on serving senior adults. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a security officer or guard and possess a positive outlook, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. This position operates every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the 3rd shift (12:30 am to 8:30 am).

Requirements

• Valid NC drivers license
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Desire to serve senior adults
• Positive outlook
• Ability to take initiative and be detailed oriented
• Working independently and on a team
• Flexible and able to handle a fast pace
• Great communication and documentation skills

• Prior experience as a security officer or guard

Responsibilities

• Performing security patrols on foot or in vehicle
• Maintaining site security and watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Permitting authorized persons to enter property
• Preparing reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Providing assistance to residents, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Responding to emergencies
• Ensuring the safety of all residents
