As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and activities according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and communicate with site contacts and/or public agencies regarding security-related concerns.
• Support crowd management, traffic flow, and public assistance efforts during busy periods, special events, and/or weather-related disruptions.
