As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage site access, and support smooth daily operations through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entries and exits at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for a busy logistics and distribution location to help support authorized access, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and report unusual activity according to post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, access points, loading areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and other security-related documentation, while helping to support site policies, emergency response activities, and daily operational needs.
