As a Security Officer Screening Check Agent in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen people and property, and support security-related operations through visible presence, attentive observation, and strong customer service. You will use communication and teamwork to help maintain orderly operations while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach and acting with integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities within a fast-paced distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, entry points, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help identify concerns and support security-related operations.
• Monitor movement throughout the location and help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity related to shipping, receiving, and distribution functions.
